May the 4th be with you!

A fun theme for the day but I can’t say we actually did anything to recognize or “celebrate” it.

It was a happy Monday though.

Our front door camera was triggered by the pretty little bird in the photo above. This little surprise truly brought a smile to my face.

I made mozzarella sticks in the air fryer. The mozzarella sticks burst quite a bit but were still delicious with the added crispy “fried” cheese.

I tried a new recipe for dinner which was delicious – Thai cashew chicken rice bowls. It was sort of a happy little accident of combining two recipes and modifying slightly based on what I had on hand which ended up being delicious. Since my original intentions for this blog was to also share recipes, I’m going to try to get a few posted soon, including this dinner.

Aquabeads
It is a good thing we eat on our back porch often because the girls have taken over the dining room table with their Aquabeads projects.

We gave Samantha a set of Aquabeads for her birthday. She is at the age she doesn’t really ask for “toys” anymore but the thought of giving her all clothes, shoes, and accessories was too much for this mommy so I picked up these Aquabeads on a whim. I am so glad I did! The girls have spent hours together working on these. I had to order a second set so they could work on them at the same time and a refill set so they would have enough beads for all the designs they want to make.
