Today was actually a fairly exciting, eventful day. Definitely a change from the monotony of the past two weeks.

While in the backyard with the dogs early this morning I found three 4-leaf clovers. Felt pretty lucky to me and I hoped it was a sign for a good day.

Also, Amazon delivered toilet paper!! Not our usual brand but I am incredibly thankful. We were down to the last five rolls and I was not looking forward to early morning store hopping in search of the elusive toilet paper. This should last us a few weeks and hopefully, by the time we are low, the stores will be better able to keep this stuff in stock.

Amazon Presto! Toilet Paper

I ran a couple of curbside pickup errands this afternoon. First stop was Sweet Traditions for a unicorn/llama/rainbow cookie decorating kit for the girls.

Second stop, some new books for me and the girls from our local bookstore Page158 books. A couple of the books were tucked away for Easter baskets and a couple of the books were given to the girls to read now.

I was craving a GOOD book – something light-hearted and nothing serious or tear-inducing. This book “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?” by Maria Semple, was on a list of Modern Mrs. Darcy’s of recommended reads under the “breezy novels” category.

Spoiler alert – since I’m publishing this post weeks after the fact – the book was just exactly what I wanted and needed. It was maybe the oddest story I have ever read but I couldn’t put it down!
